LITE tow trailers is a division of LITE industries P/L a company that specialises in the manufacture of aluminium safety products.
As part of a development program coupled to previous experience, the Managing Director of
LITE industries P/L recognised the need for a light weight trailer with long life capability to service the market place for those who require a high quality product.
After years of research, development & manufacture, we believe we are supplying the market place and our customer base with a superior high quality aluminium trailer and proud to be part of a highly successful product range servicing the Boat and the Plant / Equipment industry.
LITE tow trailer - Objective
To provide a cost effective solution for the supply of a good looking high quality trailer that allows the customer to tow a reasonable size boat or machine behind the average family car or ute and reduce their running costs.
LITE tow trailer - Materials
Part of the initial research involved the type of materials required to provide the best results particularly for trailers used in salt water conditions. Some of the materials used have been uniquely designed and developed in conjunction with LITE industries P/L and only available for our use only. The majority of materials used are a high quality Marine Structural Grade which provides the best possible strength and corrosion resistance.
LITE tow trailer - Axles
Boat Trailers:
We use Torsion Bar axles for all our boat trailers. Torsion Bar axles provide a fully independent suspension which is ultra smooth and quiet making the trailer safer and easier to handle.
Unlike a solid axle on multi leaf springs, torsion bar do not over react when the trailer hits a pot hole which can make the trailer shake or move violently causing the vehicle to also jerk or move around. Torsion Bars, being fully independent, take control on all pot holes and bumps without transferring the shock to any other part of the trailer. In addition, Torsion Bar axles have less moving parts, are fully galvanised and plated therefore, they perform for the life of the trailer.
Plant Trailers:
Our Mini trailer series use solid drop axles on parabolic leaf springs which return a great ride and performance. The heavy duty trailer range around the 3.5 tonne use solid overlay axles on a Roller - Rocker spring set which are load sharing and assist in a more stable ride and performance.
Typically, Plant trailers are hauled over all types of terrain and expected to go everywhere. Solid axles are preferred over hollow tube axles ensuring we supply the strongest available to meet all types of conditions and last the life of the trailer.
